TBMK, the joint venture construction managers for the redevelopment of Soldier Field, saw the power of 3D prototyping from our work with
Thornton Tomassetti.
The-e-shop prepared and analysed a 3D model of the precast concrete seating units to minimize potential problems on-site.
The model was created from ‘construction issue’ information and the interfaces with the steel support structure were analysed, and ambiguities/clashes reported for further review by TBMK.
Using a combination of Teka’s Xsteel and
Bentley’s Structural for Triforma (STF), the e-shop helped the project team address a significant number of key issues prior to construction.
