Thornton-Tomasetti Engineers is a large US engineering consultancy with a reputation for innovation in steel structures. Having seen the model-based process developed by Whitby Bird & Partners, Thornton-Tomasetti sought to adopt this process through knowledge transfer. The-e-shop arranged a senior management visit to the UK to review business issues and secure buy-in, subsequently training two groups of users, including coaching during trial project work. When the trained users returned to work on the Chicago Bears stadium project, the-e-shop provided telephone support and on-site attendance at critical stages to ensure a successful outcome on the project.
